Denise Milani Pitchers

My verlorenerer battle with the print shop and a secret kitchen

Like the last day was today deal with a lot of work. And then he cramp with the printers ... which had promised solemnly to bring cases against the nine half in the morning. Of course, nothing happened. Call back: Yes, in 10 minutes .... no, half an hour ... ah, within an hour he is there. Of course, nothing ... In the debriefing of yesterday's seminar at the Hilton, I informed the Director, who took the rather loose. Is quite normal Sun We should wait until the afternoon and then we would hinschicken our own drivers. That was not yet necessary, as the curator had just come from the print shop and had brought our stuff. An inspection of the delivery was our Director but then go to the ceiling (and in French Hinsch vaccinated against it). It was not just the number of false (often far too many as 1000 instead of 500), but the program also prints all wrong.
I was asked to notify the print shop and explain to them what fit because not everything. I asked whether he had a copy at hand, he said no. He'll print it but immediately and call back in a few minutes. He did not, of course, and no one responded to repeated callbacks, or twice declined a secretary and said that the Lord was not in the house.
Now that we already had too many invitations, we should the most out looking (some prints were blurred a little) and make ready to deliver. Shortly before four I was ready and made me (because of severe headaches, no wonder at the theater) on the way home.

Saturday morning we went God is good, thanks again. Yesterday had been tried, moreover, our power strip in the hall, which had no power to fix everything out (hangs on the fact even the refrigerator). Of course, nothing worked again, although Tilman said: "When the guy is gone, he said that Everything is working now '" (The fact that such things never true in Ethiopia is almost the rule). In the afternoon we went
to Bole, on foot, once again a few kilometers "stop", almost to the airport. We were hungry, plan what to eat for lunch. On the way we wanted to turn on a wooden chair a seriously (or wooden stools) and while he herlief next to us to negotiate the price, said to Tilman: "Even for one birr - i would not take it". Was so in principle a very nice piece - but what shall we walk with a heavy wooden stool?
lunch at Lime Tree (I had mezze, Taboullet and humus, as then in Arabic restaurant -. The stuff is sooo good :-)) The conversation was now more often on things that we annerven here (although I because, unlike to Tilman even sometimes can laugh about it), as that nothing works, ",.... the people on the street with their concerns and absurd ideas, the children with their "money, money
It's really no wonder that some resort development projects can not. Confirmed by Ethiopians: It's all about survival (usually for a day), all do not care beyond ... Long-term planning, etc. ..
Curious: rusted tanks spotted in a garden - with a clothesline rumgespannt

:-) Yes, yes, our kitchen ... Which is locked at night ... Because of the possibility, it could someone replied in the dark on the wall with barbed wire climb, break into the kitchen and Flaucher the injera stoves or cooking pots ...
Okay, now to Sunday: Yesterday I had begun to write some letters, and this morning I drove off with it. Also, I just had to again do the laundry, for which I actually then caught even a few hours of sun to dry (the only way, the stuff also get really dry and no one can depend week to have, and it is still damp ). So I sat on a chair with my clothes in the sun and learned a little history of Austria-Hungary for the university ("Fin de Siecle"). When it began to dribble, took I wash the one that was really already half-dry, she hung up about anything in the room and hallway and grabbed my things to go into the city and to me a few things to look, which I can take home. Of course it started just as I was passed on the mini bus stop to pour on. People were running around somewhere under noted as it was the apocalypse, or sugar. I think it would not be much different look, the military would come back and shoot .... I marched on and some people began to call out to me and with vehemence, to interpret almost desperate, but I should assume it. Which it is inconceivable how man im Regen rumlaufen kann.
