Whatever Happened To The Ls Models?

The story of the little princes and the great odyssey / The story of the little prince and the great odyssey

a little prince who lived in a country in Europe saw one day out of the window. But what was that? Something disturbed his views. He could not enjoy it more, to look down into the garden. But sharp as he was, the little prince, he quickly found the source of his displeasure. It was the blinds. The curtains were Ships, but because the country had no sea more of the little prince, therefore, no fleet of ships, which showed the curtains voted him so cranky. The curtains had gone so quickly! And replaced by new ones. Where can you but these new curtains? One thing was certain: it has to conduct his exquisite, as the little prince - as befits a prince - a special taste. So he sent his most loyal servant, in the distant countries of Africa for a special material for his curtains to look for so that he could enjoy the view from the window. The servant was still on the same day, the city according to the wishes of the small Prince to explore: the city of North roamed south and from south to east. But this first time he was lucky not to be hold. Moreover, not quite to the point, he let himself be distracted and followed the call of the sirens, the invitation to an art exhibition of the Greeks, which were beyond the always tricky to find. Because it helped the poor servants not to ask people for directions to pull the cards for advice or just at random to the area searching for the mythical place was found and thus the art treasures. The poor servant had failed twice on that day. He had no desire to meet his Lord, the little prince, nor can pursue his own pleasure. Tired and exhausted, because he already had run many miles (of that, in mismatched shoes), he found himself surprised by the dawn and had to go home and start breaking off his search, he went on his way home. The dusk turned into darkness and the darkness of the servants now lost the focus, no longer knew if he went to North, South, East or West noted, only that it was always uphill and downhill. Finally gave up the fight of his feet and boarded the next car home to disengage itself once a night and the next day to continue his search. The car struggled uphill to overcame the undulating ground only with difficulty. As in a boat on undulating sea, he was tossed back and forth. Like a ship that runs aground, it sounded when the underside of the car slipped on the ground again and it seemed almost doubtful if he would take it at all ready to cope with the play, but he made it, as he always manages .
The servant went back to his house, therefore, sat down and began to write his report, which you have now read.

of explanation, which presumably is necessary for some:
- My brother wants new curtains and I've offered me (that is optional!) To look for him here in Addis which
- We have the Goethe Institute invitation of the Greek Association to get an art exhibition. However, the place of issue is difficult to find because no one knows where he is, not level around the guys on the phone and the address of any description also provided (ie very typical!).

I am sorry, but I will not go to translate this to English!
first I likely could not even manage to do it
second You'd think I am crazy!

Ok ... I have to revise what I wrote ... I just received a mail from my cousin and absolutely astounded I found the translation of my entry enclosed (what a surprise!) So here it is ...

One day a little prince, who lived in a country in Europe, looked through the window. But what’s that? Something disturbed his view. He could no longer enjoy looking down on his park. But shrewd, as he was, the little prince made out the reason of his annoyance quickly. The reason was: the curtains. There were embroideries of ships on them. But the country of the little prince had no sea no more. That’s why his country hadn’t the shipping fleet, which the curtains exhibited. That made him disgruntled. The curtains must go! And new one had to take up the empty space!! Quick!!! Where to take from new curtains? The next best? – No. They had to be noble and exquisite, because the little prince had good taste, as it was expected from a prince. So he sent his most devoted servant in the far away countries of Africa to look for a special cloth for his curtains. With it he would be able to enjoy the view down his park again.
The servant reached a large city in Africa and found a nice accommodation. Shortly afterwards she started to explore the city to do justice to the wish of her little master. But she had no luck on the first day. One reason for her failure was the call of the sirens, which were also in town. They sang about their riches, about the treasure, which they brought with them from Greece. But in a malicious way the servant couldn’t reach the place where the sirens were singing. The poor servant read the map and asked the citizens. She roamed the city from North to South, from West to East. But the mystic place she couldn’t find. In the end she failed twice. Neither she was able to fulfil the wish of the little prince, nor could she satisfy her own desire.
Suddenly the tired and exhausted servant, who had covered many miles this day (and that with lousy footwear), was caught by the dusk. So she had to quit her search and tried to find the way back to her accommodation. But between dusk and dawn there is darkness. Cause of the darkness the servant lost the orientation. She didn’t know no longer if she was going to South, North, East or West. That she went downhill and uphill was the only thing she made out. Finally she gave up the fight against her feet and got on a vehicle. “Tomorrow I will find what I’m looking for”, she thought. What she needed now was a rest. The vehicle tormented itself uphill, got over the wavy ground barely. The servant felt like a traveller on a ship over waves. The vehicle seemed to be a ship, which runs aground, when the underside touched the ground. It was doubtful, if the vehicle would surmount the next earth wave. But it surmounted it, how it had surmounted the one before. The servant came back to her accommodation, sat down and started to write the story, which you have finished to read yet.
(special thanks to my cousin Andi for this translation!!!)

Explanation, which likely is necessary for some to understand:
- My brother has need of new curtains and I offered him to find some for him here in Addis
- We got an invitation for an Art Exhibition by the Greek Association. But it turned out to be rather difficult to find the place, as nobody seems to know it, nobody answers the phone there, furthermore there is (again) no address, just a description where to find it and these places in the description are again not helpful to find it and
